What an entry claims, what it does not, how it may be quoted, and the few things this room is not.
The Equipment Room is a free publication. These terms set out what readers may do with its content and what the journal does and does not claim.
Copyright. All entries, photographs, illustrations, and other original content published on this site are the copyright of their authors. The copyright is asserted. Content may not be reproduced in full without written permission from the journal.
Fair use and quotation. Readers are welcome to quote from entries in the course of discussion, review, criticism, or teaching, provided the quotation is brief, the source is attributed, and the quotation does not substitute for reading the original entry. A link back to the original page is appreciated but not required. Quotation in this sense follows the conventions of fair use and fair dealing as they apply in the reader's jurisdiction.
Reproduction. Reproducing an entry in full, whether on another website, in a newsletter, in a printed publication, or in any other medium, requires written permission. Requests should be sent to the contact address on this site. Permission is not unreasonably withheld, but it will not be granted for uses that misrepresent the entry or detach it from its context.
What the entries are. Entries in The Equipment Room are the writers' assessments of golf equipment based on their own handling, testing, and research. They represent informed opinion, not professional advice. A reader's experience with a particular item may differ depending on skill level, physical characteristics, course conditions, and other factors. The journal makes no guarantee that an entry's verdict will apply to every reader's situation.
What the entries are not. Entries are not product endorsements. A positive verdict does not mean the journal recommends that readers purchase the item. A negative verdict does not mean the item is unfit for anyone. The entries are reads of the equipment, not instructions on what to buy.
Limitation of liability. The Equipment Room provides its content as is, without warranty of any kind. The journal is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the information published in its entries. Readers make their own purchasing decisions.
